2005

Belgium shipping line Cobelfret opens a ferry service between Esbjerg and Zebrugge. Blue Water acts as port and stevedore agent.

Blue Water and Smyril Line jointly establish the freight company, Smyril Blue Water, to handle the freight activity based on 120 trailers in operation between DK, the Faroes and Iceland.

An extensive upgrade of accommodation platform "Pride Rotterdam" is performed in the port of Esbjerg with Blue Water as agent.

Blue Water is awarded the Initiative Diploma of the Danish Exporters' Association with the words: "Blue Water has grown from a small innovative company into an efficient worldwide transport group and is a symbol of, and a contribution to, the globalization".

The implementation of Oracle Finance is initiated, as Blue Water's own Web Booking System Compass is widely recognised by clients in Denmark abd the North Atlantic region.

As the year comes to an end, Blue Water is awarded the offshore base contract by the Danish oil company, Denerco Oil, in connection with a drilling operation in the German sector of the North Sea.

2004

In 2004, the building activities in Blue water booms.

In January, Aarhus moves to new office facilities, and the building of a new office in Copenhagen begins. The Esbjerg staff moves into new head quarters on 1 April with Blue Water Copenhagen following on 1 July.

In December, the final audit is reached in the achievement of ISO-certification - covering both Blue Water Shipping A/S and Blue Water International A/S.

Blue Water opens new offices in Vilnius, Lithuania, Warsaw, Poland and in Vatry, France.

2003

Blue Water opens in Houston, USA due to increased activities in the oil & gas industry.

A special Projects Department is established in Esbjerg, to take care of worldwide transport of especially heavy and over dimensioned project cargo by sea, road, rail and air for industrial clients in Denmark and abroad.

Being close to the client is an important part of Blue Water's strategy, and a new office is opened in Herning, Denmark. In China, the economy is booming, and Blue Water decides to establish an office in Qingdao.

A new ferry is delivered to Smyril Line PF, the Faroe Islands, with Blue water as close co-operation partner.

Blue Water Aarhus moves to own new, excellent office and warehouse facilities close to the motorway. A new office is established in Sao Paulo, and Blue Water Singapore move to new locations.

Over the Summer, Blue Water ships 2,600 ton building material for a runway and hospital to the Thule Air Base in Greenland.

As the foundation is laid for Blue Water's new 2,500 sq.m. head quarters, Blue Water Esbjerg is split into two divisions: Blue Water Shipping and Blue Water International.

2002

Blue Water celebrates its 30th jubilee.

Blue Water opens an office in New Jersey, USA, and Blue Water Manchester moves to new, modern facilities in Stockport, as the UK traffic makes rapid progress. Blue Water France celebrates call no. 100 by Caroline Shipping's vessels on the reefer service between France and Russia.

Brazil is busy shipping poultry and meat on Caroline's liner service, by charter vessels and containers to Russia, CIS the Black Sea and the Middle East.

A new liner service between UK and the Continent starts operating from Esbjerg with Blue Water acting as port and stevedore agents.

2001

Blue Water's activities in Hanstholm are transferred to a newly established company Nordshipping A/S.

On Nykøbing Mors, Interfjord Spedition takes over Blue Water's activities.

Blue Water Schiphol office does logistics for the Holland America Line (HAL), arranging consolidation of all kinds of goods from all over Europe for re-forwarding to the cruise vessels' ports of call. The intention is to widen the cruise logistics business to other offices worldwide.

In Tbilisi, new office facilities are required, and in Kazakhstan, Blue Water International wins a contract with Partex covering international forwarding services.

Blue Water Singapore secures a contract for the shipment of around 7,000 tons of various kinds of goods to Keppel Fels' Shipyard in Baku - Caspian Shipyard Company.

The windmill business is getting busier in Esbjerg, as Blue Water ships windmills to the USA, and the world's biggest windmill park is being constructed at Horns Reef off Esbjerg.

Blue Water Transport enters into a new five-year contract with Smyril Line A/S in connection with their service between the Faroes and Shetland.
