Great Activity in Iceland

Great activity is displayed at the quayside in Seydisfjordur, which is the port of arrival  for Blue Water Shipping's service to Iceland. The service to and from Seydisfjordur, via Torshavn on the Faroe Islands to Hirtshals in Denmark, is operated by the ro/pax ferry "NORRÖNA"  with a capacity of 130 trailer units.

"Blue Water Shipping Iceland has been busy shipping containers  loaded with frozen cepelin to the far East by "Norröna". Our cooperation with Cosco shipping line among others has made it possible to ship the containers of the deep sea shipping lines to Iceland.  This means we  can load the containers directly at the producers for direct delivery at consignee's place", says Steingrimur Sigurdsson from Blue Water's office in Reykjavik.

Blue Water is the only shipping  line offering weekly service to and from Iceland by ro/ro vessel.

"This makes it possible to load both containers and trailers as well as other  self-propelled units. Our trailers, with a capacity of 33 europallets, are reefer trailers, which allows loading of both chilled and frozen fish products, and we also offer  curtainsiders with full access from the sides as well as sliding roof. This makes it possible to load out of gauge  - overdimensioned and haevy lift -  cargo from the roof and from the side. We have a host of options", concludes Steingrimur Sigurdsson.

Blue Water has two offices in Iceland - one in Seydisfjordur and one in Reykjavik.
