Blue Water has years of experience in the shipping and distribution of fresh fish mainly from the North Atlantic and Norway. Occasionally, fish is even shipped from countries as far away as Africa.
Much of the fresh fish is handled, sorted and distributed as chilled or frozen fish from our ultra-modern fish terminal in Padborg. From these 3,200 sqm./34,432 sqft. cold stores, produce is being delivered to most parts of Central and Southern Europe by our fleet of modern reefer trucks.
To ensure delivery of the chilled or frozen fish under the best possible conditions, the main part of our reefer fleet is equipped with a satellite system and computers. This central monitoring system enables us to trace the trucks via the internet and also to monitor transport routes, temperatures and expected time of arrival.
Airfreight of chilled or frozen fish products around the world is another area where Blue Water has many years of expertise. The offices in Billund and Torshavn are staffed with specialists, who are able to handle any request for seafood by air around the world, whether is is on scheduled flight or charter services.
