Effective from 1 August 2012, Germany is extending the road system charged with German road tax, also called maut.
In Poland, the road network subject to road taxation was extended from 1 July 2012.
As several other countries have increased road taxation this spring, we regret being forced to adjust our EU Road Tax surcharge as from 1 August 2012.

In 2010, significant changes to the MARPOL resolution will affect shipping in the ECA (Emission Control Area) of the Baltic Sea and the North Sea. As from 1. July 2010, the maximum suphur content of fuel oil used at sea will be reduced from1,5% to 1%.
Shipping lines have increased MARPOL fees and as a result of this Blue Water will increase the MARPOL charge from 0,25% to 0,55% from the 1. July for road transports to Norway & Sweden.
If you are exporting products to Norway, please note that as from 1 january 2009, new regulations are in force for the handling and labelling of wooden crates. Contact your local Blue Water office for further information.

Due to the continuous rise in oil prices worldwide, Blue Water in Denmark has introduced a variable fuel surcharge for European road transport from/to Denmark.
