Smyril Blue Water has at its disposal the freight capacity of ro/pax ferry "Norröna" which sails the North Atlantic between Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Denmark on a weekly basis.
With a capacity of 130 trailers and a service speed of 21 miles, "Norröna" provides the fastest freight service on the North Atlantic.
To increase focus on sales and development on the Icelandic market, Smyril Blue Water is establishing an office in Reykjavik, the capital of Iceland. Smyril Blue Water is already represented by our own office in Seydisfjordur.
To manage the office in Reykjavik, we have employed Steingrimur Sigudsson, who has a broad and detailed knowledge of the market from 20 years in the freight forwarding business in countries such as Norway, Holland and of course Iceland.
Blue Water Shipping's long-standing corporation with Ice Transport for the transport of general cargo by sea and air will remain unchanged.
