Incoterms 2010

Incoterms 2000 will be replaced by Incoterms 2010 as per 1 January 2011.

The Incoterms rules are an internationally recognized standard and are used worldwide in international and domestic contracts for the sale of goods.

Incoterms are continuously evaluated by the International Chamber of Commerce I.C.C. which amends the individual terms approximately every ten years. The rules regulate freight payment and transport risk in addition to other conditions in international and national trade.

Several changes will apply to the set of rules, and Blue Water Shipping has already included the new terms under "Conditions". As Incoterms 2000 is valid for all transport agreements until 31 December 2010, these will be included under "Conditions" for the time being.
