Anchor handling vessels to Nigeria

In May 2011, Blue Water Shipping is arranging transport of two anchor handling vessels from Singapore to Lagos, Nigeria. The vessels are to be used for local oil exploration in Nigeria.

Due to the size and nature of the two vessels, ordinary ocean freight is not an option. As an alternative, Blue Water Shipping proposed using a semi-submersible vessel - the MV "Combi Dock IV" - which can submerge its cargo hold under sea level and this way e.g. transport small vessels.

The entire operation is monitored closely by Blue Water staff in Singapore and Esbjerg. Naturally, own Blue Water staff was onboard during the float operation, and likewise, we will have people present during the float operation in Nigeria.

A transport of this size is made possible due to the in-house capabilities at Blue Water - including naval architects, experienced port captains and project forwarders.

MV Combi Dock IV is due to arrive to Lagos on May 28th.
