Chinese prototype tested in Denmark

Denmark's position as global center for innovative wind energy is further manifested with the import of a test wind turbine by the Chinese to Denmark.

On Monday 16 July 2012, M/V "Jannes H" arrived to Esbjerg from China with tower parts and components for the first wind turbine prototype having two wings rather then the usual three.

Blue Water Shipping has many years' experience with the handling of wind turbines, making the company the natural choice for the unloading of components in the port of Esbjerg, Denmark.

The Chinese company Envision Energy has selected Denmark as the location for its Global Innovation Center. 30 employees are tasked with the development and test of new types of wind turbines.

The wind turbine components which arrived in Denmark, are sourced from several global suppliers, and will be transported to Frederikshavn for assembly, once safely unloaded in Esbjerg. The onshore wind turbine will the be erected for testing at a site in Thyborøn on the northwestern coast of Jutland in Denmark.
